Help Collect School Supplies for Students in Need!

Thank you to everyone who made Project Backpack 2015 a success! We are so fortunate to work with amazing volunteers and community organizations.

Project Backpack, currently in its seventh year, is a community-based initiative led by Elgin Community College to benefit students in need. Approximately 15,000 students have been helped since 2010!

Supplies will be distributed on Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until supplies last), at ECC’s Spartan Events Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin, to students who provide proof of residency or school enrollment within Elgin Community College District 509.

Supply fair recipients must demonstrate residency or school enrollment for Fall 2016 by presenting a medical card, school registration/report card, or birth certificate.

Backpacks are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is a limit of one backpack per student.
